Junior Racing Squad

Ready for something more?
Come join our Junior racing squad

If you have mastered the fundamentals in sculling and you are eager to push it even further then the TKSS junior racing squad is the place for you.

Lead by our Head Junior Coach Peter Haining MBE & supported by our British Rowing qualified and committed coaching team you will be given the tools, support & guidance to see you compete not only in the domestic racing circuit but also on a National level whether as part of a crew or in a single.

As a relatively young club TKSS junior Squad has achieved incredible results in its short time with our most recent notable recent achievement being a win for our J15 boys 4x- at Hampton Head this season which promised for an even more successful season ahead built on the previous results. Sadly due to Covid-19 the squad did not have the opportunity to achieve their potential. But they have been training hard on the land throughout the lockdown and are ‘biting at the bit’ to get back on the water and racing as soon as they are able!

So if you are looking for a committed and supportive team to join and train towards success then come down and meet Team Keane!

Current membership is £260 per term. There are 3 terms in the year inline with the academic calendar starting in September (Autumn), January (Spring) and April (Summer). Each term is a minimum of 12 weeks.

Junior Training & Racing Kit

What you wear whilst rowing is very important. In fact it is a requirement by British Rowing that all members of a crew wear their club kit whilst participating in competitive events. Like other sports like cycling, Rowing kit is quite specific and is designed with the elements and the activity in mind to offer you the best experience whilst on the water. Team Keane have, in partnership with Termaxx designed a complete range of kit. We recommend the kit bundles which have been designed to offer you everything you should need for training & racing.
